Our client is looking for a bilingual (FR/NL) Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for hardware, software, networks, and telephony. You'll play a key role in maintaining smooth daily operations, setting up workstations, and supporting IT-related projects and processes.

Functie

Within the ICT department, you will be responsible for:



  • Providing technical assistance and support to the internal staff regarding hardware, software, and network issues (routers, LAN and WAN networks, etc.), VDI, VPN, telephony, etc.


  • Installing and configuring new systems, e.g. for new employees (servers, printers, workstations, routers, peripherals, programs, and software), as well as setting them up, maintaining them, or replacing them.


  • Participating in the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of telephony and all other communication tools.


  • Contributing to writing documentation and testing new applications or features.


  • Assisting in organizing internal training sessions on new IT tools.


  • Ensuring appropriate communication and accurate information to ICT management in case of incidents, and participating in improvement initiatives regarding documentation and existing processes.


  • Acting as an executor within Service Management processes: Incident Management, Service Request Management, Problem Management, Change Management & Configuration Management (CMDB), etc.


    • Within this context, tasks may be assigned to you by the Service Delivery Coordinator.


  • Executing tasks within projects. Tasks may be assigned to you by the Project Manager.

Profiel



  • A higher education degree in Computer Science (ICT) or equivalent.


  • Good knowledge of hardware (workstations, printers, etc.) as well as network environments (routers, LAN and WAN).


  • Proven experience in technical support is essential.


  • Active knowledge of VDI and monitoring tools is an asset.


  • Excellent active knowledge of Dutch and French (mandatory).


  • A thorough, structured working approach without being overly detail-oriented, respect for organizational standards (e.g., planning), a proactive attitude, and strong team spirit.


  • A personality with the following traits: helpful and friendly, communicative, dynamic, stress-resistant, and persistent.


  • A flexible mindset that goes beyond the typical 9-to-5 schedule.
